Macworld is here soon

January 15 is the day Steve Jobs(CEO of Apple) will give another one his famed and highly watched keynotes. And just as last year when he showed us the iPhone for the first time he probably has something new and special plant for us, the consumer.

There are already floating alot of rumors around on the internet, some are reasonably possible and some are wildly insane but still they’re rumors and some of the time there’s a grain of truth to them.

Here is een summary of the rumors for Macworld 2008,

  •  Jay-Z and Apple starting a record label.
  • An ultra portable Macbook with no cd/dvd drive and a Solid State Harddisk so that the thickness can be reduced by 50% compare to a Macbook Pro models.  It  would also have a 13 inch LED screen and an extra wide multi-touch touchpad.
  • An iPhone with 3G for fast internet.
  • The new iPhone will maybe make use of the new ultra portable intel cpu chip.
  • An iPhone software update(1.1.3) that makes sending sms messages to multiple people possible, rearange your icons the way you like them on the home screen, create webpage shortcuts on your home screen, locate yourself on Google maps using celltower triangulation, hybrid map view in Google maps, Making copy/past possible, and maybe adding video recording to the iPhone.
  • The announcement that the iPhone is coming to more countries all over the world.
  • Blueray support to the Mac.
  • An iMac like dockingstation where you insert the new ultra portable Macbook into.
  • Maybe a new iPod touch update that incorporates some of the new futures that the iPhone is getting like, adding shortcut to webpages and rearrange you home screen.
  • An update for the Apple TV.
  • An Apple TV with blueray player.
  • The announcment of movie rentals from Fox and Disney.
  • And ofcource something that we never saw coming, the way Apple likes it.

The keynote will start on January 15 at 9 AM, PST and will end at 10.30 AM.
